HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I love Halloween and getting dressed up and I was happy to hear that the gang here was also into the costumes and all that comes along with Halloween!
For work Friday I made some awesome spider cupcakes and fancy pumpkin cupcakes to share with my team. We had inventory count on Friday so a good sugar kick was much appreciated by everyone.
Saturday night, Jenn and I were headed to a house party at our friend Lisa's apartment nearby. Having been swamped with work for the past couple weeks, I was assembling my costume on Saturday afternoon. Luckily all those years as a camp counsellor came in handy and I was able to get a catwoman costume put together with minimal labor. Everyone had great costumes: Jenn was an African woman complete with a jeli - the head piece she is wearing and Melody, Lisa and the girls were Crayola crayons. I was impressed with the guys as well - we had a few of the Office characters, Harry Potter, a video remote controller, a magazine cover, and the most amazing costume of the night was Avatar who actually had his skin air-brushed on... 4 hours of air-brushing took place to make that happen. It looked awesome!
Lisa had decorated the place up very festively and all the food was Halloween themed. A very fun night out despite the snow that fell heavily all night... At least it was better for the trick-or-treaters on Sunday. We dressed our little trick-or-treater Oliver up in his costume on Sunday night and gave him a bone for his treat - too cute!
Happy Halloween everyone!
