Happy New Year!
Wow! We are already a week into the New Year - time is flying by...
After an awesome week off at home with my family and friends, I'm back to work and the real world. New Years Eve was a fairly lo-key event at the Lockhart household. Mom, Dad and I rang in the New Year with our Australian cousins, Grandma Rinn, and Susan & Leah . We watched the Canadian Juniors play, had a great dinner and played a competitive game of Dominos before watching the ball drop in Times Square. New Years Day was spent visiting a family friend in the morning and then Susan joined Mom, Dad, and I for an afternoon of cards - my favorite kind of day! Last Monday, I headed back to Ottawa with a girl I met at a training course here who is from Stratford. The ride was uneventful and we made it back in under 6 hours with all tires intact :)
So the big question over the holidays from many friends and family was - "So your year in Ottawa is up, now what?" I can divulge that I will be moving in 2011 but the where and when are still being discussed so I will withhold any further details until it is officially announced within the company. It's an exciting prospect and a move means a promotion in my program which is what I have been working towards. In the meantime, I will continue to blog on my life here in Ottawa which I really do love and I will make the most of the rest of my time here!
Best wishes for the start of 2011!
