A Day at Ontario Place
Christine, Teri and I decided to spend last Saturday keeping ourselves somewhat cool on the water slides at Ontario Place. None of us had been there since we were kids and a lot of things have changed about the place. There's water slides, a huge splash pad, a swimming pool, rides, IMAX, a 3-D show, and other activities going on. Luckily,Teri's boyfriend lives right on the Harbourfront and Christine and I were able to park there for the day so we could all catch the free shuttle to Ontario Place.
The day was very humid and sunny which made the waterpark a perfect place. We got to Ontario Place abround 11:30am and headed straight for the slides. The lines were pretty short at the start but they became quite long by early afternoon. There was two tube slides that were single or double, a group raft slide and a crazy no-tube slide that shot you straight down into this funnel where you spun, spun, spun until the funnel dropped you (more like spit you) out. It was hilarious to see people come flying out the funnel on their heads, backs, sides, and then they would surface looking completely stunned and disoriented. It was very entertaining!
After a few hours of water slides, lunch and people-watching, we took in a 4-D (whatever that means) show on sites in Ontario and then headed back to Greg's apartment around 5:30pm. It was a full day of fun!
