Happy Birthday Leah!
After missing Leah's first birthday last year, I was definitely not going to miss one second of her second birthday! )Given the choice, I'm glad I missed the first where she didn't really get it yet because this year she had a better understanding). With Mom and Dad still away on holidays, Susan did a friends' party with a few of Leah's little playmates (and their parents of course) and we'll celebrate with Mom and Dad when they get home in a few weeks.
The party took place at Susan and Alec's place with 4 of Leah's friends, their parents and me of course :) We let the kids play together, ate pizza and cupcakes, opened presents, played some more and sent them home. Easy-peasy, no fuss and little mess. You'll see in the pictures below the row of high chairs to accommodate the guests - too cute. The kids played so well together - making things in the kitchen and chasing the balloons (and each other) around.
Leah got some great gifts - toys, clothes, her first little Leapfrog laptop (oh dear...), and a number of other things. The toys sure are more advanced then what I remember. We had blocks and Cabbage Patch kids now they have all these electronic toys and dolls that pee, cry, burp,.. I must say that Susan and Alec don't buy those kind of toys for Leah often so she's still playing with Lego and our old dolls which I love!
