Blah Blah Blah
You know January is that month when things just kinda seem to drag... the Christmas hype has ended, the weather's cold, everyone's back to work, exams are coming up for high school kids, nothing too fun really!
Well, this January was actually a lot warmer than usual - we have had our few freak snowstorms but 9'C in January is pretty much unheard of in Ontario so we can't complain about that one bit! I've been grounded all month (i.e. no flying for work) so I've been able to enjoy some downtime at my house and with family and friends. The month seemed to fly by between work, tutoring, my CGA finance course, volunteering in the community/at church and just keeping up with teh day-to-day. While it may be the blah season, sometimes it's ok to be in blah mode for a few weeks.
Gavin is getting bigger all the time and Susan is back in top form - able to drive and lift again. Leah is getting more and more talkative everyday and although I can't understand what she's saying a lot of the time, she's sure chattering her little heart out. My favorite is when she "reads" books - no idea what she's saying but she "reads", turns the page, "reads" the next one, etc. It's very cute. And she sure does love those glasses of Mom's... another classic photo here.
Mom and Dad are gearing up for next month's New Zealand adventure and Mom and I just booked flights to NYC for a long weekend in April. Dad's been busy working out in his shop on projects and painting various rooms in the house.
My house had a few additions in January - a new lamp for the living room and Mom has painted me a picture for my living room wall. I found a picture I liked at Pier 1 and she said she could paint something like that so we went over to Michaels and hooked her up with supplies and she did a great job! Once I get it hung, I will post a picture.
I hope your January blahs are as enjoyable as mine!
