St. Patty's Day Celebrations
I managed to stretch St Patrick's Day out over two days - just for fun!
On Friday I brought some mini-cupcakes into work decoreated with St Patrick's Day theme and invited the building down to the cafeteria area at 10am to celebrate St Patrick's Day and just get everyone together. I added in the email that there would be singing, dancing, and other entertainment provided by one of our company lawyers - Dan. Of course this sparked some excitement so around 9am I sent out a second email reminding everyone to come have a cupcake at 10am in the cafeteria and I attached a photo (that I said Dan's mother had sent me) of three little girls and one little boy dancing an Irish jig in these cute little green outfits. A number of emails then flooded through the system as Dan then announced that the party was changed to Kate's going away party as she's being terminated... It was prety funny and I think about 50 people came down which was awesome!
Saturday night was the stag and doe for Mitch Blair and his fiance Jess in Woodstock. I went with some friends and met some other friends there too. There was a great turnout and everyone sported their green gear. Green beer was served of course and they had a ton of great prizes and of course an awesome spread of food that only the Blairs can provide.
My 2012 St Patrick's Day joke:
Why should you never iron a four leaf clover?
Because you don't want to press your luck!
On a more serious note, the riots that took place in London on St Patrick's Day were awful and those kids should be ashamed of themselves. I feel bad for the good students at Fanshawe whose reputations have been tarnished due to the irresponsible actions of their peers. Not cool at all.
